Once we see how the puppies begin to mature, we will start contacting those on the waiting list and begin assigning puppies. We place puppies with the family that best suits that puppy's needs. All other arrangements are by private treaty.

~

A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 will be required to hold your puppy.

~

Puppies will be selected and will be available to go to their new homes at approximately 8 weeks old. Occasionally, puppies will be retained until 10-12 weeks, at our discretion. This will also be listed on the litter webpage.

~

Puppies must be picked up when they are ready to go. We make every reasonable attempt to work with you and your schedule. If you do not pick up your puppy, you will lose your deposit and your puppy will be re-sold.

~

It may be possible for us to drive within a 60 mile radius of our home to meet  puppy buyers. Due to hectic schedules and the rising cost of fuel, we are unable to drive farther, unless the meeting point is on a route are already on our way to an event. Pickup may also be possible at an event we are already planning to attend. Please call and discuss these needs prior to booking your puppy.

~

Boarding fees will apply to any puppy requiring a stay of more than 2 weeks from it's pick up date.

~

If your puppy needs to be shipped, we use DELTA airlines and can recommend a ground hauler if needed. All shipping related costs will be actual costs, and will be the responsibility of the buyer. The puppy will depart via Port Columbus International Airport (CMH) in Columbus, OH. Other airports may be available if necessary.

~

Shipping costs:

As of September 2011, shipping costs run around $400-$450 for a puppy that has to be air shipped and $275 for ground shipping.

The breakdown of the air costs are as follows:

$60.00 crate

$50.00 health certificate

$270.00-$320.00 airfare (price difference depends on whether we use delta dash to shorten layover times)

~

We charge a airport transport fee, which varies depending on which airport the puppy will be departing from. Crate costs will depend on local availability, and vet fee of $55.00 will apply to all puppies shipped via air or to Canada. Please contact me to discuss your shipping needs.

~

We adhere to a strict worming/vaccination schedule.

Puppies are wormed at 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age. Kennel Cough vaccines are given at 6 weeks, and the first 5 way puppy shots are given at 7-8 weeks of age. If your state requires anything other than what is listed above, please contact me and we can attempt to accomodate your needs.

~

Puppies that will be air shipped will be evaluated and given health papers by our veternarian within 10 days of the puppy's flight. Otherwise, it is the puppy BUYER'S responsibility to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian witing the first 3 (three) business days occuring from the time the puppy leaves our possession.

~

The puppy should be evaluated and if within the 3 day period a licensed veterinarian deems that a puppy is unhealthy as a result of neglect or genetic defect/disorder, the buyer may initiate a refund/replacement procedure. All veterinary records regarding the puppy must be released within 5 business days of the visit in which the puppy was declared as unhealthy by genetic defect to us for submission to our licensed veterinarian at the buyer's expense. If our vet deems the claim to be valid, the purchase price only of the puppy will be refunded. We are not responsible for shipping related costs.

~

Once the puppy leaves our posession, we are NOT LIABLE for any infectious disease or injury that occurs after that point in time. We cannot assume responsibility for infections and/or injury occuring after a puppy has left our premises.

~

Puppies frequently pass worms, despite our best attempts at maintaining stringent deworming schedules. We will not assume responsibility for any worms found as deworming is a routine part of puppy care that will be the buyer's responsibility for the life of the puppy.

~

Umbilical and inguinal (groin area) hernias happen occasionally, and when a puppy has one, we place puppies in pet homes in which the buyer is aware of the hernia before the purchase is completed. Therefore, we do not assume liability for costs related to hernia repairs unless specifically agreed upon in writing before puppy has been picked up.
